Three United players visited Scunthorpe Foodbank on Monday afternoon to present them with a special cheque.
Sean McAllister, Terry Hawkridge and Callum Howe visited the Footdbank which is at Scunthorpe Baptist Church on Ashby Road.The three Iron representatives handed over a cheque for £500 as part of the Community Shield money, while they also met all the volunteers there.
The Foodbank helps those that are struggling to make ends meet financially by offering them food vouchers.
Clients can then exchange these for food items that have been donated by schools, businesses, churches, individuals or supermarkets.
