GEARED UP FOR ROVERS CLASH

5 February 2016

Iron full-back Scott Wiseman says everyone in the squad will go into Saturday's encounter with Doncaster Rovers full of confidence, after picking up another three points at Coventry City.

Wiseman praised his team-mates' recent performances, and stated these have only helped enhance the mood in the camp.

He told The Iron PlayerHD: "It's always good, going into these games full of confidence. The lads are buzzing around the place and, with the way the performances have been, even more so.

"We can't underestimate it's a massive win. They had all their players back from the week before, so they can have no excuses as to why we beat them."

On a personal note, the defender spoke of how pleased he is to be back in the first team reckoning. But, at the same time, insisted results always come before his personal satisfaction.

"It's always nice to be back involved but the main aim, as I've said before, is for the team to be doing well," he said.

"I'm not selfish enough to spit my dummy out when I'm not playing. I'm fully behind the team when I'm not involved."

A win on Saturday would complete a league double over Rovers for the Iron, and Wiseman is confident of securing a victory.

"We know what we're doing now, and we know where we've slipped up in the past and it's a case of focusing on Saturday. We're not thinking about the two games we've just won," he stated.
