Brendan Malone will referee the Iron’s away clash with Charlton Athletic at the Valley on Saturday.
Malone has officiated 22 matches so far this season and, in those, he’s produced 90 yellow cards and dismissed three players.He’s been the man in the middle for one United match during the current campaign also, back in August when Graham Alexander’s men were edged out away at Port Vale.
Throughout 2015-16, the official from Wiltshire refereed 31 fixtures, cautioning 80 players and sending off six.
He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Stephen Finch and Matthew Lee, with David Rock taking up the role of fourth official.
