Oliver Langford will referee the Iron’s away fixture against Chesterfield this Saturday.
Langford has already taken charge of 12 matches so far this season and, in those games, he’s produced 42 yellow cards and is yet to dismiss a player.Throughout the 2015-16 campaign, the official took charge of 41 games, cautioning 99 players and sending off four.
The 2010-11 season was the most recent time Langford officiated a United match, when Scunthorpe slipped to defeat away at Norwich City.
He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Geoffrey Russell and Adam Crysell, with Steven Copeland taking up the role of fourth official.
