ALEXANDER RECEIVES NOVEMBER MANAGER OF THE MONTH NOMINATION

7 December 2016

Iron manager Graham Alexander has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One manager of the month accolade for November.

It's the United boss' third nomination of the campaign after being included in the shortlist for August and October, while it is his fourth nomination at the club in total after scooping the award in April of last season.

The nomination comes after a 10-point tally in November which included three victories and three successive clean sheets.

On the EFL's official press release, the judges commented: "A third nomination in four months is hardly surprising with his side on course to collect 100 points and almost as many goals this season.

"Just to change it up, their 10-point haul from four November games included three clean sheets."

Also nominated are Justin Edinburgh of Gillingham, interim manager Kevin Nugent, who was temporarily at the helm at Charlton Athletic and Southend United's Phil Brown.

The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports' EFL League expert Don Goodman, EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers' Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.

The winner will be announced on Friday morning.
