IRON TEAM NEWS

Aiden Marsh (foot fracture), Liam Feeney & Jordan Hallam (hamstrings) continue to miss out through their respective injuries.

Ahead of the game, when discussing if everybody made it through the Gateshead game, Daws said: “There are no problems. You always get a few bumps and bruises, but everybody is alright.”

THE OPPOSITION

Barnet currently sit 10th in the Vanarama National League, registering seven wins out of fifteen matches so far.

The Bees completed an impressive turnaround mid-week away at Bromley, coming back from 1-0 down in the 85thminute to win 3-1 thanks to an Idris Kanu strike and Harry Pritchard brace inside seven minutes.

Barnet dropped back down to the English fifth-tier in 2018 following a three-season stint in League Two, where back-to-back 15th placed finishes was followed up by a 23rd after just missing out on survival through goal difference on the last day of the 2017/18 season.

Following relegation, Barnet became the only non-league club to reach the FA Cup fourth round in the 2018/19 season after victories against Bristol Rovers, Stockport County and Sheffield United.

Their best finish in the National League since returning came in the 2019/20 curtailed season, which saw them reach seventh through a points-per-game model, however their worst season soon followed.

Barnet finished 22nd in the 2020/21 season, which would’ve seen the Bees relegated if the National League North/South regional tiers weren’t abandoned.
