The Shropshire-based official arrives at Victoria Park for his 14th game of the campaign and his fifth in Sky Bet League Two. He has shown 41 yellow cards and one red.
Last season, he took charge of 30 games, issuing 82 yellow cards and four reds.
It is his second Iron match this season after he refereed the home fixture against Port Vale back in September, during which he showed two yellow cards. In the 11 prior games refereeing Scunthorpe, he's issued 44 yellow cards and six reds.
Lewis is one of the EFL's longest serving officials, refereeing his first League Two match in 2005 between Rochdale and Rushden & Diamonds. Prior to this, he officiated in the Conference and was also an assistant referee on the Premier League.
As an assistant, he's been involved in some top matches, including games in the Champions League, UEFA Cup, Euro Qualifiers and a World Cup Qualifier.
On Saturday, Lewis will be assisted by Ivan Stankovic and David Hunt, while Bradley Hall has been appointed as the fourth official.
